L@tE (Living at the Edge)

www.lateexchange.com

L@tE is a collaborative opportunity, provided at grassroots level, to address people’s concerns in situations where climate change will have a direct effect on everyday life.

It aims to record people’s actions in response to these concerns, with reference to the specific characteristics of localities and the meeting of water and land.

It aims to invite people to respond creatively to environmental problems, which have been brought about by our social developmental unsustainability, industrial society and modern global economics.

It aims to address a perceived complacency through interaction, offering a response to the current socio-political system’s failure to engender democratic engagement, and gives individuals an alternative medium through which they can articulate an independent voice.

L@tE is concerned with the edge in a broader sense, exploring different dimensions of this concept, expanded from humanity’s direct interaction with nature.
